My Story
From Humble Beginnings to Global Ambitions.
I was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the youngest of five siblings in the rural town of Varginha. The first in my family to learn English and pursue higher education, I moved to São Paulo in 1997 to study Social Communication at ESPM. My ambitions led me to a prestigious internship at Brazil's largest consumer bank, which I left during my final year to chase the dot-com boom with my own tech startup. The venture failed, but it was a formative experience that taught me resilience and the importance of a positive mindset. This foundation of perseverance paid off in 2002, when I was one of eight selected from eight thousand candidates for the American Express management trainee program. This marked the beginning of a significant career trajectory.
A Journey Through Global Finance Leadership.
Over the past 25 years, I have contributed to high-impact projects at globally recognized financial institutions such as American Express, Citigroup, and Apollo Global Management. I am particularly proud of supporting a critical global re-engineering effort at American Express during the financial crisis, restructuring Citigroup's largest finance team and managing headcount and expenses, and steering finance operations at Apollo Global Management.
Embracing Change: Citizenship, Travel, and AI.
In 2022, after decades in leadership and corporate life, I decided to pursue a lifelong goal of European citizenship to add to my Brazilian and American citizenships. Over two years, I visited and photographed sixty cities across eleven countries while residing in Lisbon, Portugal. I also immersed myself in deepening my understanding of generative AI and the future of work trends. These explorations led me to launch FuturoVita in 2023 and start a transformative coaching and business advisory practice.

In 2024, I founded ROMA Advisors to transform corporate executives into visionary entrepreneurs through a strategic and action-oriented framework supporting and guiding them every step of the way.
